Overview
The Highlands at Harbor Springs is seeking a Ski & Snowboard Technician to join our Snow Sports team. This position is responsible for providing guests with a safe, efficient, and enjoyable rental experience while maintaining the quality, organization, and safety of the snow sports rental fleet.
The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, detail-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, active environment. Previous skiing or snowboarding experience is preferred but not required. This is a seasonal position with a variety of employee perks and resort benefits.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to guests throughout the rental process.
- Properly size and fit guests with ski and snowboard boots, skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, and other applicable rental equipment.
- Inspect, adjust, clean, organize, and maintain rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
- Follow established procedures for equipment fitting, adjustments, safety inspections, and rental transactions.
- Educate guests on the proper use, care, and safe handling of rental equipment.
- Assist guests with equipment exchanges, adjustments, and general rental questions.
- Maintain an organized and clean rental area, including proper storage and organization of equipment.
- Identify damaged or unsafe equipment and remove it from service according to department procedures.
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, including preparing the rental shop and equipment for operations.
- Support the Snow Sports team with fleet maintenance and other operational duties as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other resort departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Customer service experience preferred
- Skiing/snowboarding experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Reliable and team-oriented
- Comfortable with physical work and winter weather
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
