Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, seeks a friendly Rental Clerk to help guests select boots, skis, and snowboards and complete rental paperwork. You’ll assist based on height, weight, and skill, and manage cash transactions accurately in a fast-paced alpine environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Previous sales experience is a plus, as is handling cash and operating a cash register.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, and present information to customers.
• Proficiency in basic math for discounts and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and a professional demeanor as they arrive.
• Help guests choose the right-sized boots, skis, and snowboards based on height, weight, and skill level. Calculate binding tensions and pole lengths to ensure a comfortable fit.
• Present rental agreements, address guest questions, and ensure the completion of all necessary documents.
• Handle returned equipment with care, checking for any damage or issues.
• Accurately count cash and prepare it for bank deposits.
• Operate our point-of-sale system, make change, and reconcile at the end of your shift.
