Job summary

Christy Sports in Vail, CO is hiring to manage the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department. You will supervise staff, ensure top-notch guest service, and oversee inventory and pricing to maximize profitability.

Ideal candidates have a strong ski/snowboard background, leadership experience in rental operations, and flexible availability. Competitive hourly pay with commission and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong ski and/or snowboard background.
• Prior leadership experience in ski/snowboard rental operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Experienced with POS systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and industry trends.
• Ensure staff trained with binding DIN setting and boot fitting.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including promotions.
• Maintain payroll budget and assist store manager in staffing.
• Hire, train, coach, and lead staff.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques.
• Open/close store as required in absence of manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
