Job summary

Vail Resorts in Town of Hunter, NY, is hiring for winter seasonal roles including Ski & Ride School staff. You'll join a dynamic team delivering guest experiences on and off the slopes in a fast-paced mountain environment.

Starting wage ranges from $20.00 to $31.00 per hour, with perks such as free passes, employee discounts, training, and a 401(k). Housing is available and applications are accepted on a rolling basis through December 15, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
• Fluent in all aspects of English language.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong communications skills with a wide variety of guests and employees.
• Strong computer skills, typing, and data entry preferred.
• Early childhood care experience preferred.
• Ski or snowboarding experience to assist lessons as necessary preferred.
• Successfully pass the background check required.

Responsibilities

• Daily reservation and sales processing on our resort operating systems.
• Daily setup and teardown of indoor facilities and work areas with attention to detail.
• Adhere to health code and safety policies for cleanliness and facilities.
• Keep facilities clean and orderly to accommodate high guest flow.
• Work with small children to facilitate games and activities indoors and outdoors.
• Adhere to helmet policy while skiing/riding in uniform.
• Model safety standards and contribute to Health and Safety culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
