Job summary

POWDR / Mt. Bachelor is seeking a friendly Ski and Ride School Support Staff & Magic Carpet Operator to join our team. You’ll assist with children's classes, manage student movement, meals, equipment, and facilities, and ensure a safe, organized lesson environment.

Outdoor winter duties include operating the magic carpet, inspections, crowd control, and quick response to safety concerns, while collaborating closely with instructors and families to deliver memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of Ski and Ride School lessons, with focus on children’s classes and high-volume periods.
• Escort children during indoor breaks, restroom trips, meals, equipment adjustments, and transitions between lesson areas, following safety procedures.
• Communicate lesson needs, student concerns, and safety issues to instructors and supervisors.
• Prepare, organize, clean, restock, and maintain lesson facilities, yurts, teaching equipment, and program supplies.
• Operate the magic carpet lift per training and safety procedures.
• Complete required inspections and logbooks accurately and on time.
• Maintain safe loading/unloading areas and manage crowd flow during shifts.
• Assist guests and students with loading/unloading the magic carpet, providing aid after a fall and ensuring safe traffic flow.
• Monitor lift and lesson-area conditions, stop operation if needed, and report concerns immediately to a supervisor.
• Shovel snow to maintain safe access and operations.
• Provide friendly guest service and teamwork to ensure equitable break coverage.
