Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado seeks a Ski and Ride School Supervisor to oversee daily instruction, curriculum development, and class scheduling, while leading staff development and ensuring guest satisfaction.

The role requires 1–3 years of instructor experience and at least 1 year of supervisoryexperience, PSIA/AASI certification, and willingness to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required.
• 1–3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and assigning classes providing support with instruction as needed
• Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and reporting on guest feedback
• Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, correction action, or escalation if necessary
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Adhere to all safety related programs including policy training and incident reporting
• Coordinate with other management, departments, and third‑party organizations as needed
• Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities
• Other duties as assigned
