Job summary

Sugarbush Resort is seeking seasonal ski and ride instructors for the Sugarbush Ski and Ride School. You'll join a team of educators delivering memorable experiences for guests and staff, with a focus on safety and fun during the winter season.

Roles include teaching children, following the Instructor Guide, and helping with lesson logistics while working a minimum of 20 days. Starting pay is 18 dollars per hour and increases with certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring is preferred.
• Previous ski or snowboard instruction experience is beneficial.
• PSIA/AASI Level I–III Certification or USSA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety on varied mountain terrain and winter conditions.
• Instruct and progress children through lessons according to the Instructor Guide.
• Assist in loading/unloading children on the chairlift per policy.
• Support program operations, including registration and equipment fitting.
• Communicate lesson content and progress to guardians.
• Return children to their guardians after lessons.
• Adhere to Vermont Skier Safety Act guidelines.
