Job summary

Sugarbush Resort in Vermont is seeking seasonal ski and ride instructors to join the Sugarbush Ski and Ride School. You will teach guests of all ages, uphold safety, and share a passion for the mountain.

Starting wage is $18 per hour with increases as you complete instructor certifications. Full and part-time schedules are available for the winter season, with training from our experienced staff and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• PSIA/AASI Level I–III certifications preferred.
• USSA Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the highest levels of safety on varied terrain in a mountain environment.
• Arrive to work on time prepared for all duties.
• Attend morning meetings.
• Supervise and assist the children in your class at all times including during lunch and snack times.
• Instruct assigned levels accurately according to our progression guidelines.
• Provide a safe and fun learning environment through effective class handling.
• Assist in loading/unloading children on the chairlift in a safe manner.
• Support program operations including registration, equipment fitting, and area upkeep.
• Communicate lesson content and progress with guardians.
• Ensure return of children to guardians.
• Follow Vermont Skier Safety Act rules and company guidelines.
