Job summary

Deer Valley Resort is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide frontline triage for helpdesk tickets and to support a diverse IT environment from ski gates to Wi-Fi and databases. The role reports to the IT Operations Manager and requires a flexible, learning-oriented attitude.

Ideal candidates enjoy sun and snow, have strong customer service, and can work across Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux platforms with a willingness to learn rapidly changing technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in variable mountain weather conditions.
• Ability to ski or travel between resort locations as needed.
• Experience supporting Windows and Mac systems in an Active Directory environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including Wi‑Fi, switching, and cabling.

Responsibilities

• Triage helpdesk tickets quickly and accurately with detailed notes.
• Support, repair, configure, and upgrade Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux devices.
• Reach out across departments, teams, vendors to resolve issues with ownership.
• Move and re-configure hardware with neat cable management.
• Troubleshoot RFID gates, business apps, webcams, PtPs, and related IT tasks.
• Assist with low voltage wiring and fiber splicing basics.
• Be available for on-call periods and weekend/holiday work.
