The Rental Equipment Technician is responsible for issuing, adjusting, and maintaining ski and snowboard rental equipment for guests in a fast-paced environment. This role ensures that each guest is matched with appropriate gear based on their size and ability, while upholding Mission Ridge’s service standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, guest-focused, and able to balance technical equipment tasks with strong interpersonal service.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to three months of related experience and/or training is preferred, though equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Employees must obtain current ski binding certifications, which will be provided and facilitated by the employer.
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, as well as bend, reach, and lift light to moderately heavy objects. Employees must be able to move efficiently within the shop and interact with equipment and guests regularly. Clear communication, focus, and attention to safety are essential during guest interactions and busy operating periods.
The Rental Equipment Technician primarily works indoors in a busy, guest-facing environment. The pace can be fast, especially during weekends and peak holiday periods. The workspace involves close interaction with coworkers and guests, moderate noise levels, and exposure to winter sports equipment. On occasion, there will be a requirement to be outdoors to collect equipment or move between work stations and exposure to winter conditions.
