Job summary

Wintergreen Resort in Virginia seeks a capable Ski Rental/Adventure Center Supervisor to support the Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations during winter and summer activities.

You will lead a large seasonal staff, handle guest issues, oversee check-in, boot fittings, and adventure attractions, and fill in as manager on duty as needed.

Candidates should have supervisory experience, strong customer service, and the energy to work long shifts, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in ski rental shop operations or outdoor activities is helpful.
• Prior supervisory experience is desirable.
• Ability to lead and motivate a large staff of seasonal/temporary employees.
• Excellent oral communication and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to work long shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of ski or resort environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Managers in training and appraising seasonal staff.
• Direct and assign work to seasonal staff; manage daily operations.
• Greet customers; handle complaints from guests and employees.
• Oversee winter duties: front check-in, boot fitting, and equipment dispatch/return.
• Oversee summer duties: Ninja Course, bungee trampoline, climbing tower, log roller and Summer Tubing.
• Resolve guest locker issues in winter; supervise ski repair shops deposit.
• Act as Manager on Duty as needed; lead staff meetings and allocate lunch breaks.
• Ensure compliance with uniform and grooming standards; follow Wintergreen Handbook policies.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.
