Job summary

June Mountain seeks trained Ski Patrollers to deliver First-Aid, Mountain Safety and Snow Safety across the resort. You will start with a Ski Patroller Training period and join a team dedicated to guest safety.

Required certifications include EMR/EMT/OEC/WFR and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer; applicants must be at least 21 and eligible to work in the U.S. This is a seasonal on-mountain role with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must have EMT/EMR/OEC/WFR certifications as listed above.
• CPR/AED certification required for Professional Rescuer.
• Age 21+ and ability to pass training.
• US citizenship or eligible to work (visa applicants not considered).

Responsibilities

• Provide First-Aid, Mountain Safety and Snow Safety services mountain-wide.
• Support during Ski Patroller Training and initial seasonal period.
• Operate within June Mountain safety protocols and emergency response plans.

A little about this position:

Provides First-Aid, Mountain Safety and Snow safety services mountain-wide. You must have advanced Alpine Skiing skills (sorry, no Telemark Skiing or Snowboarding until you have successfully finished one season on patrol). During your first season, you will be trained in slope-specific First Aid, Hill Safety, Snow Safety and June Mountain Operations.

Hourly pay rate: $25.00

Requirements:

• Patrol candidates must have current Emergency Medical Responder, EMT, Outdoor Emergency Care, Wilderness First Responder or other certification that will be reviewed for acceptance.
• In addition to these you need to have a current certification for CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
• You must be at least twenty-one years of age.
• All hired applicants will go through a Ski Patroller Training period and Ski Patrollers will be hired from this group.
• Ski Patroller Employment will be contingent on passing this training.
• Regretfully, we are not considering applicants for this position who lack US Citizenship (VISA applicants from foreign countries are thus ineligible).
