Job summary

Bear Valley Mountain Resort LLC is seeking a Ski Patrol / First Aid team member to support on-mountain safety and guest care. Responsibilities include opening/closing mountain procedures, hazard recognition, and assisting guests with weather and slope information.

Applicants should have CPR certification, skiing proficiency, and be prepared for extreme weather, physical lifting, and rope rescue tasks. EMT/OEC preferred; training and records management are part of the role.

Qualifications

• EMT or OEC cert preferred; WEC accepted with patient contact experience.
• CPR certification required; ability to read and write clearly on forms.
• Strong skiing ability and safe operation of equipment.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to guest satisfaction and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to excellent services and guest satisfaction.
• Skiing to perform opening and closing procedures on the mountain daily.
• Communicate with other departments and provide safety information.
• Maintain safe, clean workstations and patrol duty stations.
• Learn ropes and rope rescue skills; assist with avalanche safety tasks.
• Record training and policy compliance; report hazards to supervisors.
• Shovel snow, heavy lifting, and transport assistance as needed.
• Provide weather, grooming, and slope conditions updates to guests.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to safety policies.
