Job summary

Dartmouth Skiway instructors teach skiing or snowboarding to private and group lessons of all ages, helping guests learn the skills they need to have fun on the slopes at Lyme Center, NH.

As part of the Snowsports school, you will work with teammates who share a passion for skiing and riding, and be involved in additional duties such as race netting, shoveling, and mountain responsibilities. This 4-month term position offers part-time hours and a non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Basic skiing and/or snowboarding ability; training to instruct guests at a given level.
• Good communication skills and patience; ability to be trained and adapt to situations.
• A positive attitude is a must.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and group skiing or snowboarding lessons to all ages.
• Assist with other duties such as race netting, maintenance, shoveling, and mountain responsibilities.
• Demonstrate professionalism and collegiality in a welcoming environment.

Hiring Range Minimum: $16.25/hr

Hiring Range Maximum: $19.25/hr

Location of Position: Lyme Center, NH 03769

Position Purpose

Dartmouth Skiway instructors teach skiing or snowboarding to private and group lessons of all ages. Teach our guests the skills they need to have fun skiing and/or riding and create a positive experience for guests learning to ski or ride. As part of our Snowsports school, work alongside instructors that share your passion for skiing and riding. This position will give you the opportunity to work in all aspects of the snow sports industry such as, skiing, snowboarding, tele, racing, freestyle, and adaptive.

Required Qualifications

• Basic skiing and/or snowboarding ability, knowledge and training to competently instruct a guest at a given level of skill.
• Good communication skills and patience, ability to be trained, being able to adapt to a given situation.
• A positive attitude is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
• Intermediate Skiing or Riding Ability
• Passion for Skiing or Riding
• High School graduate or the equivalent
