Job summary

Harris County Resources for Children and Adults seeks a qualified senior manager to oversee the Senior Justice Assessment Center (SJAC) and supervise two program supervisors. You will assist the Adult Services Deputy Director in all phases of management, including program planning, policy development, and staff development.

You will lead budgeting discussions, represent the department in public relations and community meetings, and foster partnerships with facilities, providers, and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of verifiable, full-time case management experience with adults in social services.
• Four years in a supervisory role in a social services setting.
• Experience using personal computer and software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Valid Texas driver's license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of SJAC Program Supervisors.
• Participate in program planning, policy development, budgeting, and staff development as part of the management team.
• Participate in hiring and training staff; approve timesheets; monitor mileage reports; complete performance plans and evaluations.
• Attend manager and county meetings; participate in budget processes.
• Public education, speeches, and public relations related to program objectives.
• Promote interagency cooperation and attend meetings and committees.
• Coordinate interaction between the program, other agencies, and county departments.
