The City of New York’s Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) seeks a Program Manager within the Division of Youth and Family Justice to lead daily programming in juvenile facilities and supervise staff.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work or related field with substantial admin experience, strong collaboration with DOE and vendors, and willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends. Equal opportunity employer with residency guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's in social work with 4 years of full-time, paid experience in child care or related settings, including 2 years admin.
• Master's in sociology/psychology/education/public admin with 5 years of related experience, including 2 years admin.
• Equivalent education/experience with two years admin in a child care setting.

Responsabilités

• Directly manage, coordinate, and lead daily programming in a juvenile detention facility.
• Directly supervise a unit of program staff and provide orientation, training, and coaching to promote professional development.
• Collaborate with ACS-contracted vendors, staff, volunteers, and facility operations staff to design and implement youth-focused events and programming.
• Ensure development, distribution, and maintenance of reports, schedules, data entry, and programming logs used for planning and evaluation.
• Maintain relationships with Department of Education and DYFJ staff to ensure a youth behavior management system is in place.
• Represent the programming unit at detention and meetings to support care plans and discharge recommendations.
• Assist the Director of Programs with data collection, trend analysis, and addressing operational coverage issues.
• Willing to travel to ACS detention facilities and work evenings and weekends.
