Sixth Grade Math Teacher: St. Augustine School

St. Augustine School is seeking a qualified sixth grade math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must hold a valid state of Ohio teaching license, possess or be willing to work toward Diocese of Cleveland religion certification, complete BCI and FBI background checks, and complete VIRTUS training.

Responsibilities

• Articulate the mission and vision of St. Augustine School to students, parents, and the greater community.
• Create a classroom environment in which every student can succeed and which establishes high academic and behavior standards.
• Create a positive rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Teach all approved curricula.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Use standardized test data to make instructional decisions.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate records and progress reports.
• Help promote and maintain a professional environment.
• Be supportive of and collaborate with colleagues and administrators.
• Participate successfully in the faculty professional development and evaluation system.
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the administrator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid Ohio teaching license or certificate.
• Appropriate criminal record verified through a check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
• Completed or in the process of VIRTUS training.
• Committed to the education of students in an urban area.
• Engaged in continual professional development.
• Operates from a stance of what is in the best interest of the students.
