Saint Columban is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Junior High Math Teacher. The anticipated start date is January 4, 2027, with the position expected to continue until early April. The candidate will be responsible for three sections (two general and one advanced) of 7th grade Pre-Algebra and three sections (two general and one advanced) of Algebra I. Qualified applicants will have a background in middle/high school mathematics education or a related field, experience working with junior high students, and the ability to monitor assessment data and provide timely and accurate feedback to students and stakeholders. Lesson plans and teaching materials will be provided, but candidates should be self-starters who feel comfortable differentiating to fit real-time student needs and executing student accommodation plans.

Ideal Candidates Will:

Be familiar with Google Classroom and other Google Workspace tools, or be willing to be trained in these platforms

Work in collaboration with the junior high team of teachers and be flexible

Be willing and able to monitor students at recess, transition times, and afternoon dismissal
