First Grade Teacher: St. Augustine School

St. Augustine School

St. Augustine School is seeking a qualified Kindergarten teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The duties are outlined below; however, this is not an exhaustive list of job expectations. The position includes instruction of students, in math, English language arts, religion, social studies, and/or science. Candidates must hold a valid state of Ohio teaching license, possess or be willing to work toward Diocese of Cleveland religion certification, complete BCI and FBI background checks, and complete VIRTUS training.

Responsibilities include:

• Articulate the mission and vision of St. Augustine School to students, parents and the greater community
• Create a classroom environment in which every student can succeed and which establishes high academic and behavior standards
• Create a positive rapport with students, parents, and staff
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Teach all approved curricula
• Maintain a safe classroom environment
• Use standardized test data to make instructional decisions
• Prepare and maintain appropriate records and progress reports
• Help to promote and maintain a professional environment
• Be supportive of and collaborate with colleagues and administrators
• Participate successfully in the faculty professional development and evaluation system
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the administrator

Qualifications
