Job summary

Nicky Diggs Excavation is seeking an experienced Site Contractor Project Superintendent to oversee and manage day-to-day field operations for commercial sitework and excavation projects across the Hudson Valley. The ideal candidate will coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and schedules to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in site construction management or as a site supervisor.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication with project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily sitework, excavation, grading, drainage, utilities, and related construction activities.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Read and interpret construction plans and project schedules.
• Monitor progress to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and other personnel.
• Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects moving forward.
• Track daily activities, manpower, equipment, and progress.
