Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Contractor Project Superintendent to oversee and manage day-to-day field operations for commercial sitework and excavation projects throughout the Hudson Valley.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project schedules to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supervise daily sitework, excavation, grading, drainage, utilities, and related construction activities.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Monitor job progress and ensure work meets project requirements and deadlines.
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and other project personnel.
• Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects moving forward.
• Track daily activities, manpower, equipment, and job progress.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sitework Superintendent or in a similar construction management role.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, site development, grading, drainage, and underground utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA safety training preferred.
