Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton requires a PC Technician to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services. These services include maintaining Network Operations (NetOps), supporting systems and network infrastructure, providing end-user and device support, configuration, change, license, and asset management, conducting training, and performing Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. These responsibilities are critical to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and end-users operating worldwide 24/7/365.

Under the supervision of the Senior PC Technician, the PC Technician must possess excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, along with extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. The role requires a customer service-oriented approach, proactive problem resolution, and efficient use of computing resources. The PC Technician may also need to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR, and Gray). Responsibilities include providing system and network infrastructure services to operate, maintain, monitor, defend, and manage hardware, software, and network routing and switching infrastructures, including network hardware and software.

Key duties include:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues proactively
  • Responding to technical support requests
  • Recommending technical solutions
  • Providing technical support for database-related issues
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals such as printers
  • Installing and upgrading application and operating system software
  • Troubleshooting hardware and network connectivity problems
  • Data migration and hardware decommissioning
  • Managing software inventory, licensing, and upgrade policies
  • Coordinating with vendors for product delivery and installation
  • Recommending hardware and software standardization
  • Supporting shift work or non-standard schedules as needed
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 6 years with a High School Diploma, 4 years with an Associate's/AA degree, or 2 years with a Bachelor's/BA degree
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • At least 2 years of experience as a PC Technician or Help Desk support
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certification

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This range varies based on experience and other factors.
