Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton requires PC Technicians to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services. These services include maintaining Network Operations (NetOps), systems and network infrastructure, end user and device support, configuration, change, license, and asset management, training, and Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs). The responsibilities are vital to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and end-users operating globally 24x7x365.

Under the direction of the Sr. PC Technician, the PC Technician must possess excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, along with extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. The role is customer service-oriented, proactive in problem resolution, and focused on efficient use of computing resources. The technician may also be required to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR, and Gray). Responsibilities include providing system and network infrastructure services to operate, maintain, monitor, defend, and manage hardware, software, MAN routing and switching infrastructures, and network hardware and software.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues proactively.
  • Responding to technical requests and providing recommendations.
  • Supporting database-related technical problems.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals like printers.
  • Installing and upgrading application and operating system software.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and network connectivity issues.
  • Removing old equipment and migrating data to new machines.
  • Maintaining software inventories, managing licenses, and creating upgrade policies.
  • Coordinating with hardware and software vendors for product delivery and setup.
  • Analyzing and recommending hardware/software standardization.
  • Supporting shift work or non-standard schedules as needed to support USSOCOM.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years with a High School Diploma, 2 years with an Associate/AA degree, or no minimum with a Bachelor's degree.
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This range reflects typical salaries based on experience and other factors.
