Job summary

Meta is seeking a Performance & Capacity Engineer to join the Capacity Planning and Optimization Engineering (CPOE) team in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on site-wide performance and capacity optimization across Meta products and data-center infrastructure.

You will design optimization models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and scale capacity plans to balance cost and performance as Meta grows. This includes working with AI-driven tools and ensuring responsible AI practices across

Qualifications

• 8+ years in performance or software engineering and optimization data science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in designing and implementing models and optimization algorithms.
• 4+ years coding/scripting in Python, R, Java, C, C++, PHP.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Infrastructure operations knowledge.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Ability to optimize complex systems with large datasets and drive business impact.
• Adherence to responsible, ethical AI practices.
• Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.
• Experience in multi-phase/multi-year system/software roadmap development.
• Experience in cloud capacity planning and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement capacity plans across Meta's infrastructure.
