Job summary

The Ladders is seeking a Site Strategy Manager, Data Center Sites, to guide siting strategy for data center growth. This remote role targets U.S.-based opportunities and partners with clients, local entities, and cross-functional teams to drive due diligence, zoning, and infrastructure readiness.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure on-time delivery while fostering accountability and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in land development or project management is essential.
  • Knowledge of environmental assessments and zoning regulations is preferred.
  • Experience with data center siting and hyperscale projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Site Strategy Manager, Data Center Sites - Remote (U.S.) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will guide site strategy and land opportunity evaluation for data center growth, with a strong focus on due diligence, zoning, permitting, and infrastructure readiness. The position partners closely with clients, local stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to advance complex site development initiatives. The successful candidate will help ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while building a culture of accountability and innovation.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams, including recruitment and management of direct reports
  • Build rapport with clients and local entities
  • Evaluate land opportunities for long-term data center growth
  • Accountable for project results, including adherence to budgets and schedules
  • Manage due diligence, zoning, permitting, and infrastructure processes
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and innovation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field and 8 years of experience in land development or project management
  • Experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects
  • Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer, Architect, or Land Planner
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in Engineering or related fields
  • Preferred: 12+ years of experience in general land development
  • Proficiency in data center operations and site development processes
  • Knowledge of environmental assessments and zoning regulations
