Job summary

Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization is seeking a Data Center Site Services Manager to lead a team responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and decommissioning network, storage, and compute assets in the data center.

You will supervise Data Center Technicians, ensure uptime, collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, and adapt schedules to meet business needs while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading employees and/or a contingent workforce in a data center or equivalent environment.
• Experience working in an IT environment in areas of installation, delivery, or operations management.
• Experience working with servers, storage hardware, or network hardware.

The Data Center Operations Team is looking for a strong leader to serve as Data Center Site Services Manager, providing direct support for data center service uptime and supervising a team of Data Center Technicians.

Description

This role is for a Data Center Site Services Manager responsible for a team that executes the installation, service, repair, support, maintenance, and decommissioning of network, storage, and compute assets in our data center.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading employees and/or a contingent workforce in a data center or equivalent environment.
• Experience working in an IT environment in areas of installation, delivery, or operations management.
• Experience working with servers, storage hardware, or network hardware

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience encouraged.
• Understanding of data center power and cooling principles
• Strategic problem solver who understands how the different functions within a data center intersect.
• Adapting and flexing schedules to align with business needs
• Ability to inspire, coach, train, and develop personnel, managers, and individual contributors alike to provide extraordinary customer service and deliver results consistently.
• Ability to forge collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor your message to your audience.
• Experience presenting technical information detailing specific projects or schedules.
