Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., based in Springhill, TN, is looking for a Site Service Technician (Day shift) to support onsite repair and preventive maintenance of our forklift fleet.

You will diagnose issues, repair trucks, perform biweekly inspections, complete paperwork, and coordinate with safety. This role requires a high school diploma, 0-5 years’ experience, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Zero to five years of relevant maintenance or service experience.
• Entry-level understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues and perform onsite repair of forklift trucks.
• Inspect the complete fleet on a biweekly schedule and document work.
• Process paperwork promptly and communicate safety concerns to management.
• Handle lifting of items up to 55 lbs and use basic hand tools.
• Complete general computer tasks related to service activities.

What you will do:

Onsite Repair:

• Identify Issues.
• Suggest Improvement.
• Repair forklift trucks.

Onsite Inspection:

• Perform physical inspection of the complete fleet every two weeks as signed by Saturn Manager.
• Process all paperwork in a timely manner and elevate any safety concerns immediately to management.
• Lift equipment made available for heavier items, up to 55 lbs.
• Utilize hand tools sufficient to perform maintenance and services.
• General computer tasks.

What you will need:

• Minimum, High school diploma.
• Zero to five years of relevant work experience.
• Entry-level understanding of mechanical and electrical (AC and DC) troubleshooting skills.

Skills, Experience & Abilities:

• Excellent written and oral / verbal communication skills.
• Entry-level understanding of mechanical and electrical (AC and DC) troubleshooting skills.
• Basic mechanical skills including electrical diagrams and hydraulic systems to tie in with daily maintenance required to meet the customer’s expectations.
• Must be motivated, and willing and able to work safely in high pressure environments.
• Must be able to adapt readily to project changes and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well both within team atmospheres and independently with little supervision.
• Flexibility with working off-hours (within reason as needed) to support the Spring Hill Fleet is required.
