Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Safety Tech to help create a safe working environment across Baton Rouge project sites. You will assist in implementing safety programs, conduct inspections, and promote a culture of safety among personnel and subcontractors.

Primary duties include enforcing safety policies, coordinating toolbox talks, and documenting inspections and incidents. Must have OSHA 30 certification and be able to travel to project sites in the Baton Rouge area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor in OH&S preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and enforcement of safety policies per OSHA and client requirements.
• Conduct site safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, and fall protection compliance.
• Assist with incident investigations and preventive measures.
• Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions for workers.
• Maintain accurate safety records and reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns and implement solutions.
• Respond to on-site emergencies and promote proactive safety culture.
• Stay updated on industry safety practices and regulatory changes.
