The Role We Want You For

The Site Safety Supervisor will support the Project Staff and the Clayco safety team to implement corporate safety and health standards in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your responsibilities include developing a zero-injury safety culture, conducting weekly safety inspections, orienting new workers, reviewing subcontractor safety analyses, promoting safety initiatives, and reporting incidents promptly. You will be dedicated to each project, ensuring safety protocols are followed and safety awareness is fostered among workers.

The Specifics of the Role
  1. Assist in developing the project safety program.
  2. Conduct and document jobsite orientations for new employees, recording participation and issuing IDs.
  3. Participate in initial project meetings to define safety roles.
  4. Conduct pre-task safety meetings with subcontractors.
  5. Perform field tasks independently on projects up to $80M.
  6. Interface with clients.
  7. Support the Site Safety Manager.
  8. Hold weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff.
  9. Facilitate safety training, ensuring compliance with OSHA and Clayco standards.
  10. Maintain logs of toolbox safety meetings.
  11. Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
  12. Ensure subcontractors have trained safety representatives.
  13. Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections, documenting violations and corrective actions.
  14. Report unsafe practices and violations immediately.
  15. Stop unsafe acts when observed.
  16. Assist in fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
  17. Investigate incidents and generate reports.
  18. Maintain safety records.
  19. Conduct monthly safety meetings and briefings.
  20. Perform other safety-related duties as needed.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
  2. 3-5 years of safety experience with knowledge of safety principles and techniques.
  3. 2-3 years of field experience.
  4. OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
  5. OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer certification is a plus.
  6. Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate work areas.
  7. Visual acuity including close, peripheral, and depth perception.
  8. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  9. Ability to work at heights and access scaffolding and roofs.
  10. Moderate to loud noise environment.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
