Job Description
This role requires frequent travel across the U.S. Candidates may be "based" anywhere in the US.
Summary: The Site Safety Health Officer is responsible for the implementation of the project‘s safety and health plan and ensures compliance to that plan.
Essential Duties and Overall Responsibilities:
Prior to the commencement of work on any project phase, the Site Safety Health Officer:
Willingness and ability to perform other tasks as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Site Safety Health Officer supervises all safety efforts and initiatives on site and can direct compliance of all personnel.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Four years of training and related experience. Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company regulations. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures essential.
Mathematical Skills: The Site Safety Health Officer will be required to detect details and recognize errors in numbers or in written materials such as charts or tables on a constant basis.
Reasoning Ability: The Site Safety Health Officer will be required to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions on a constant basis.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: At least one of the following certifications are required: CSP, GSP, ASP, or CHST. In addition, your OSHA 500 must be current. OSHA 30, BCSP, and First Aid and CPR are required.
