Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services seeks a Safety Manager to supervise safety on a large construction project with direct reports. The role focuses on promoting the Gilbane Cares culture, preplanning contractor safety activities, and maintaining comprehensive safety documentation on site.

Responsibilities include conducting SafetyNet inspections, analyzing trends, coaching teams on hazard identification, investigating incidents, and coordinating safety training with OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred.
• 4–5 years of construction safety management experience.
• BCSP credential required.
• Certified and authorized instructor by GU and OSHA.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety culture on the project and supports preconstruction safety planning.
• Ensures contractor activities are preplanned for safety through reviews and meetings.
• Maintains safety documentation and manages SafetyNet inspections.
• Audits SafetyNet reports and develops corrective action plans.
• Coaches project teams in hazard identification and corrective actions.
• Investigates accidents/near misses and completes required paperwork.
• Provides safety training on Gilbane, client, and OSHA requirements.
• Manages direct reports and performance.
• Acts as liaison with Insurance carriers.
• Works with business development to align safety with client deliverables.
