Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Safety Professional to administer the safety program on an active job site and advise the project team and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance. The role sits primarily on-site with occasional trainings and meetings in the office.

You will engage in promoting Gilbane's safety culture, performing SafetyNet inspections, delivering safety trainings, and maintaining records, while driving proactive risk control and a strong, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred.
• 1–6 years of construction safety management experience.
• BCSP credential or equivalent.
• Equal combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Promotes Gilbane safety culture on-site.
• Ensures safety plans and submittals meet requirements.
• Conducts SafetyNet inspections and trainings.
• Investigates accidents/near misses and documents findings.
• Maintains safety-related records and equipment inventories.
