Job summary

Gilbane Building Company, through its Next 150 Construction subsidiary, seeks a Safety Professional to administer the project safety program on a high-hazard site with a large workforce. The role sits primarily on the job site with occasional travel for trainings and meetings.

You will lead safety initiatives, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Gilbane safety plans. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety or Engineering and BCSP

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques, and methods.
• Practical knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations, and policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to train project teams.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the Gilbane Cares safety culture on the project site.
• Ensures safety plans are preplanned and reviewed with subcontractors.
• Maintains all safety-related documentation and inspections (SafetyNet).
• Provides safety training to project teams on Gilbane, client, and OSHA requirements.
• Investigates accidents/near misses and completes required paperwork.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members and supports a positive work environment.
