Job summary

Bart's Electric is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead day-to-day safety on our Kansas City commercial electrical projects. You will own the safety program on active job sites, mentor Safety Coordinators, and drive a culture that keeps every worker safe. Reports to the Director of Safety.

Required: 5+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30-Hour, knowledge of OSHA 1926/NFPA 70E, and strong leadership. Travel between KC-area sites with a valid license; CHST/STSC/CSP/OSHA 500/510 preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience, including running safety on active job sites.
  • OSHA 30-Hour (Construction).
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, incident investigation, and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Strong leadership and communication; comfortable in the field and with crews.
  • Valid driver''s license and the ability to travel between Kansas City-area sites.
  • Preferred certifications: CHST, STSC, CSP, OSHA 500/510.

Position Summary

The Site Safety Manager leads day-to-day safety across our Kansas City commercial electrical projects. You'll own the safety program on active job sites, mentor our site Safety Coordinators, keep us compliant and audit-ready, and drive a proactive, boots-on-the-ground culture where every employee goes home safe. Reports to the Director of Safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead safety on active Kansas City-area commercial electrical job sites and mentor site Safety Coordinators.
  • Ensure OSHA 1926 (construction) compliance; conduct audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses (JHA).
  • Run daily toolbox talks and site orientations; build engagement and accountability in the field.
  • Oversee high-risk work — electrical safety and lockout/tagout (NFPA 70E), confined space, cranes, scaffolds, and fall protection.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; maintain OSHA 300 recordkeeping.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, crews, clients, and general contractors; coordinate with regulatory inspectors.
  • Manage PPE, permits, and safety documentation; track and report safety metrics to the Director of Safety.
