Job summary

Bart's Electric is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead day-to-day safety on our Kansas City-area commercial electrical projects. You will own the safety program on active job sites, mentor site Safety Coordinators, and ensure audit-ready compliance.

You'll partner with project teams, regulators, and clients to drive a proactive safety culture where every worker goes home safe. Experience leading field safety and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience on active job sites.
• OSHA 30-Hour (Construction).
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, incident investigation, and OSHA recordkeeping.
• Strong leadership and communication; field-focused.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between KC-area sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety on active Kansas City-area commercial electrical job sites and mentor site Safety Coordinators.
• Ensure OSHA 1926 (construction) compliance; conduct audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses (JHA).
• Run daily toolbox talks and site orientations; build engagement and accountability in the field.
• Oversee high-risk work — electrical safety and lockout/tagout (NFPA 70E), confined space, cranes, scaffolds, and fall protection.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; maintain OSHA 300 recordkeeping.
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, crews, clients, and general contractors; coordinate with regulatory inspectors.
• Manage PPE, permits, and safety documentation; track and report safety metrics to the Director of Safety.

• CHST, STSC, CSP, or OSHA 500/510.
• Commercial electrical or high-voltage construction background.
• Experience mentoring or supervising safety staff.
