Job summary

Brinkmann Constructors is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop and enforce a culture of health and safety on project sites. You will collaborate with the Operations team to prevent accidents and manage risk, and provide on-site training and guidance to staff on safety plans.

The role requires coordinating with the Safety Manager and project teams to embed safety in every project, monitor PPE usage, and investigate incidents while maintaining OSHA records and safety literature.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience managing safety on large construction projects.
• Ability to lead safety orientations and investigations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety efforts of subcontractors and Brinkmann employees.
• Discuss safety with on-site Subcontractors Supervisory Personnel.
• Coordinate with Project Supervision to ensure PPE and safety materials are used.
• Record and forward safety meeting records and inspections for tracking.
• Coordinate responses to inspection reports from Brinkmann’s insurance company.
• Conduct documented Project Safety and Health Inspections.
• Investigate injuries and review accident reports with staff and subs.
• Keep current all required safety documents and literature.
• Monitor protection of the public by minimizing construction hazards.
• Monitor maintenance of first aid supplies.
