Job summary

Marous Brothers Construction in Columbus, OH is seeking a Safety Coordinator to champion a safe, productive jobsite. You will lead daily site safety, walk projects, spot hazards, and ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and company safety standards.

Responsibilities include developing SSSPs, conducting toolbox talks, coaching crews on high‑risk activities, investigating incidents, and delivering clear safety reports using safety software and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926) and applicable state regulations.
• Ability to develop, implement, and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP).
• Experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSA) and risk assessments for construction activities.
• Proven ability to perform routine and unannounced site safety inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the jobsite day-to-day by walking projects, spotting hazards, and keeping crews aligned with safety expectations.
• Develop and execute SSSPs, JHAs, and risk assessments while coaching teams through high‑risk work.
• Deliver toolbox talks, train new hires, and build a strong safety mindset on site.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root-cause analysis, and track corrective actions.
• Log inspections and generate reports using safety software and Microsoft 365.
