Job summary

C&G Consulting Services, Inc is seeking a Construction Manager (Site Safety) to oversee day-to-day construction and field activities while ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with project requirements and OSHA regulations.

You will work closely with contractors, project managers, engineers, and field personnel to maintain a safe work environment, conduct routine safety inspections, lead toolbox talks, and coordinate safety-related actions across active project sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management, safety, or site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety practices.
• Experience overseeing contractors on active construction sites.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read drawings and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction and field activities at active project sites.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities for compliance with safety requirements and procedures.
• Conduct routine site inspections and safety observations to identify hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and project safety plans.
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and JHAs as needed.
• Identify safety concerns and work with teams to implement corrective actions.
• Oversee high-risk activities including electrical work, excavation, lifting/rigging, heights, confined spaces, and heavy equipment.
• Review safety documentation, permits, and work plans.
• Document safety observations, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Assist with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate construction activities with project management, engineering, and operations.
• Monitor progress, schedules, quality, and field execution.
• Maintain accurate site documentation and safety records.
