Liquibase is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with prior SRE experience supporting AWS-based, cloud applications. This role focuses on building, securing, and maintaining a highly resilient, multi-tenant SaaS platform utilizing AWS services. We seek an SRE expert skilled in security, monitoring, alerting, and operational resilience. You will report directly to the Manager of DevOps, impacting the foundation of a scalable SaaS platform. We value developer feedback and innovation.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, implement, and maintain resilient and secure infrastructure for our SaaS platform using AWS services like API Gateway, Lambda, Aurora Serverless, OpenSearch Serverless, Secrets Manager, and FusionAuth.
• Ensure security best practices using AWS services such as WAF, Shield, GuardDuty.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions with tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Lead incident response, triage, resolution, and root cause analysis to ensure platform reliability.
• Conduct post-mortems and drive reliability improvements.
• Implement strategies to enhance system resilience and performance, including on-call rotations.
• Understand and apply SRE principles, including error budgets, SLOs, SLIs, SLAs; establish these metrics for the team.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Contribute to system architecture and feature development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to define, prioritize, and execute work, including future initiatives.
• Educate engineering teams on reliability, security, and resiliency best practices.
• Participate in Agile development processes.
• Foster a collaborative culture while working independently.

Must Haves:

• Prior SRE experience supporting a cloud SaaS platform with AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• AWS Solutions Architect and/or AWS DevOps Professional Certifications.
• Strong communication skills, with experience in distributed work environments.
• 5+ years in site reliability engineering roles.
• Expertise in AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Aurora Serverless, OpenSearch Serverless, Secrets Manager, FusionAuth.
• Expertise in AWS security services like WAF, Shield, GuardDuty and cloud security practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Ability to design effective monitoring strategies for reliability and performance.
• Willingness for 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Extensive experience with Terraform.
• Experience building, securing, and maintaining multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with IDPs like FusionAuth, Okta, Auth0.
• Strong understanding of security principles.

Nice to Haves:

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH.
• Experience with Azure, GCP, Docker, container orchestration.
