Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to prevent production incidents across CRM and servicing platforms. You will implement SLIs/SLOs, build proactive detection, validate changes, and run resilience tests in Hartford or Wellsley.

This hands-on role emphasizes automation, blameless postmortems, and cross-team collaboration. You will work with cloud services, networking, and monitoring tools to reduce P1/P2 incidents and improve system reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, production engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or large-scale production operations.
• Troubleshooting skills across distributed applications and shared infrastructure dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and synthetic monitoring.
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing, TLS/certificates, WAFs, API gateways, and cloud services.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Go, PowerShell, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, postmortems, change validation, and automation.
• Ability to communicate clearly and influence teams outside the direct reporting line.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and dashboards for platform behavior and latency.
• Build synthetic probes and alerts for critical user journeys and failures.
• Assess risk for changes and validate pre/post-change outcomes.
• Maintain dependency maps and validate DNS, certificates, firewall behavior, API routing, and DB connectivity.
• Run load, failover, recovery, and chaos tests for capacity and resilience.
• Lead blameless postmortems and ensure preventive actions are testable.
• Develop automation for health checks, configuration validation, and post-change verification.
• Collaborate with application, network, security, database, cloud, and vendor teams to drive actions.
