Best Egg is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to lead major incident recoveries, drive observability improvements, and mentor junior engineers within the Information Technology organization. You will guide reliability practices across production systems and automation efforts to reduce toil and improve resiliency.

Qualifications
- Experience with production incident recovery and cross-system investigations.
- Proficient with Datadog dashboards, monitors, logs, metrics and APM concepts.
- Experience with cloud operations (AWS or similar) and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Lead major incident recovery, coordinating triage, evidence review, restoration actions, and validation.
- Optimize observability strategy, alert quality, dashboard standards, and telemetry coverage across services.
- Drive reliability initiatives to reduce recurring failures, noisy alerts, manual work, and risk.
- Mentor engineers on troubleshooting, runbooks, and production support judgment.
- Influence engineering decisions by identifying reliability risks and resiliency gaps.
