Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deliver user-friendly, state-of-the-art Azure services to provide world-class user experiences on Azure.
  • Work with the team to ensure service quality, availability, and reliability.
  • Participate in live-site and customer support to ensure customers using our services have a great experience.
  • Engineers should expect to participate in a regularly scheduled on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements. This includes specialized screenings such as an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI based on an SSBI with Polygraph, and other verification steps as described by Microsoft and government customers. A Microsoft Cloud Background Check will be required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Citizenship verification is required for this role where applicable by law.

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI based on an SSBI with Polygraph. You may be required to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship verification: verification through valid documents as required by law.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration
  • 2+ years of technical experience working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.

Site Reliability Engineer IC3 — The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year, with variations by location (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metropolitan Area).
