A federal IT solutions provider is seeking a Sr. Azure Cloud Architect located in Annapolis, Maryland. This role requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and focuses on cloud migrations and administration of Microsoft 365 applications. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with Azure cloud services, strong problem-solving skills, and a degree in IT or a related field. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems Management, IT/Computer Science, or other applicable IT field & 7 years’ experience.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification is preferred.

Sr. Azure Cloud Architect (TS/SCI w/ Polygraph) to join our team!

TS/SCI with Polygraph required before consideration.

Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday. Availability to work on call.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient and cost‑effective migration of data, applications, and other technologies from an on‑premises platform to a cloud‑based infrastructure.
• Migrating data from on‑premises or legacy systems to the Cloud.
• Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Identify technical requirements.
• Manage project timelines.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for optimization and cost savings in the cloud environment.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after migration.
• Provide post‑migration support and address any issues that arise.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripts.
• Implement security and compliance policies.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing.
• Ensure seamless integration, security, and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

• Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure platforms, including identity management, authentication mechanisms, and security controls.
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems Management, IT/Computer Science, or other applicable IT field & 7 years’ experience
• No degree & 12 years’ experience
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification
• CompTIA Cloud+ CE certification

Compensation

Compensation: $185,000 - $200,000. Compensation ranges are a general guideline only and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract‑specific affordability, organizational requirements and alignment with local market data.
