Job summary

Perplexity seeks Site Reliability Engineers who treat reliability as a software problem. You’ll own compute, networking, and storage at scale, ensuring availability, latency, and cost targets while the platform evolves rapidly.

Responsibilities include running the Kubernetes fleet, upgrading EKS clusters, tuning scheduling and networking, and designing resilient storage and backups. You’ll write automation in Python/Go/Rust and drive blameless incident response to durable fixes.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS expertise across VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, S3.
• Production Kubernetes at scale with upgrades and autoscalers like Karpenter.
• Fluency with Python/Go/Rust for automation and tooling.
• Observability with Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana and turning metrics into actionable alerts.

Responsibilities

• Own production at scale for compute, networking, and storage.
• Run our Kubernetes fleet and upgrade EKS clusters.
• Design and operate VPC architectures, DNS, and private connectivity across accounts and regions.
• Define SLOs, build alerts, and run disaster-recovery exercises to prove resilience.
• Automate provisioning, upgrades, and remediation across teams.
