Perplexity is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own production at scale, overseeing compute, networking, and storage across Kubernetes-based services. You will operate and upgrade Kubernetes fleets, design resilient VPCs, and manage durable storage, all while treating reliability as software.

You will build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and CI/CD, define SLOs, and lead incident response with blameless postmortems.

Formación

• Deep AWS expertise across VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, ELB, Route 53, S3, EBS and related services with emphasis on limits and failure modes.
• Production Kubernetes at scale: cluster upgrades, CNI, autoscalers, and debugging at odd hours.
• Terraform mastery: module structures, multi-account state management, large refactors.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing, routing).
• Real coding in Python, Go, or Rust for automation and tooling.
• Fluency with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) to drive meaningful SLOs.
• Experience leading production incidents and delivering durable fixes.
• Ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguous paths.

Responsabilidades

• Own production at scale: ensure availability, latency, and cost.
• Run and upgrade EKS clusters; tune scheduling and service networking.
• Engineer and operate VPC architectures, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink.
• Manage the storage layer (EBS, S3, DynamoDB) including backups and restores.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and CI/CD, reusable modules and guardrails.
• Define SLOs, build actionable alerts, plan for zone/regional failures, run DR exercises.
• Lead incident response: drive to resolution and postmortems.
• Plan capacity, quotas, and cost efficiency for launches and traffic spikes.
• Automate toil with self-serve tooling for engineering teams.
