Job summary

Perplexity's Cloud Infrastructure team is hiring SREs who treat reliability as a software problem. You'll own compute, networking, and storage at scale and keep production stable as services evolve rapidly.

You will run our Kubernetes fleet, design VPCs and multi-account networking, manage data stores, and automate everything with Terraform and CI/CD. We value incident leadership, disaster-recovery exercises, and cost-aware scaling.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS expertise across VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, ELB, Route 53, S3, and EBS.
• Production Kubernetes at scale with cluster upgrades and autoscalers.
• Terraform module design and multi-account state management.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Rust for automation.
• Fluency with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience leading production incidents and postmortems.
• End-to-end ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own production at scale across compute, networking, and storage.
• Run and optimize EKS clusters and service networking.
• Design and operate VPCs, Transit Gateway, and PrivateLink.
• Manage storage with EBS, S3, DynamoDB and caches.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and CI/CD.
• Define SLOs, alerts, and disaster-recovery tests.
• Lead incident response and postmortems.
• Plan capacity and cost efficiency for growth.
• Build tooling to automate provisioning and upgrades.
