Oracle's Product Operational Engineering team, part of Oracle Health, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for medical and 3rd Party products. The role requires strong Linux and Windows system administration skills for support, performance tuning, and monitoring of critical systems.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers and other SREs to address production issues and automate solutions. The role involves working with cloud technologies to enhance performance and reliability, using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code, with a preference for experience in Terraform and Chef.

This is a remote role based in the US.

Responsibilities

• Shared ownership of medical and 3rd Party services with the SRE team.
• Understanding configuration, dependencies, and behavioral characteristics of production services.
• Designing and delivering secure, resilient, scalable, and high-performance stacks.
• Partnering with development teams to improve service architecture and capabilities.
• Communicating service attributes and requirements, and understanding automation and orchestration principles.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex issues and understanding service topology and dependencies.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as an SRE or equivalent.
• Linux and Windows administration experience (4+ years each).
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) of 2+ years.
• Experience with IaaS and SaaS cloud solutions.
