Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids seeks an Associate Director, Product Quality – Site Leader to drive site-level quality strategy and excellence within an AS9100 environment. You will oversee a quality team and partner with manufacturing and engineering to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal production quality.

The role requires a senior engineering or quality background with leadership experience and a track record in continuous improvement, RCCA, and cross-functional problem solving.

Qualifications

• University Degree or advanced degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Leadership experience managing professional teams.
• Experience with AS9100 or comparable regulated quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary Quality team across the Cedar Rapids site.
• Serve as the site-level quality authority for all production areas and top-level products.
• Partner with Site Manufacturing Leader and Production Leaders to support operational goals while safeguarding quality and compliance.
• Ensure alignment with AS9100 and internal QMS requirements across all processes.
• Oversee process controls, inspection systems, and documentation for consistent quality.
• Coach RCCA investigations and lead data-driven corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and increase throughput.
• Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and implement strategic actions.
• Lead internal and external audits and drive closure of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and leadership to resolve quality issues across product lifecycle.
