Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) seeks a Site Quality Manager to oversee quality across civil, structural, electrical disciplines on a nationwide, project-based program. The role reports to the Regional Quality Manager and requires travel up to 90% with a hybrid work setup between jobsite visits and home office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Quality Management with managing quality inspectors, construction coordinators, technicians, or similar.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contract exhibits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to deploy to remote project locations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.
• Ability to influence people to adhere to company policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to develop and interpret reports related to quality outcomes.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience building relationships.
• Travel: up to 90% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project quality requirements across civil, structural, electrical disciplines.
• Champion Company Safety policies and procedures; lead by example.
• Review project technical requirements, codes, and specifications.
• Oversee inspections including planning, auditing, scheduling, training, coaching, close-outs, and lessons learned.
• Review contractor quality programs and ITPs; set hold or witness points.
• Collaborate to develop and implement the site quality plan (SQP).
• Act as on-site lead for the management of the SQP.
• Review construction quality activities for compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise, train, and schedule Quality Inspectors; coach team.
• Ensure documentation is completed and turnover-ready.
• Track inspections and quality metrics; report weekly or monthly.
• Occasionally perform inspections, tests, and field audits.
• Implement "Responsibility to Act"; stop unsafe behavior.
• Coordinate walk downs and inspections with owner and project team.
• Track punch lists and report status.
• Manage nonconformances and pursue timely resolutions.
• Support Standard Work Instructions and process improvements.
• Review commissioning plans and coordinate tests.
• Identify and resolve problems; lead root cause analysis.
• Other duties as assigned
