Job summary

Rite-Hite is hiring a Purchasing Supervisor at our Dubuque, IA manufacturing facility. You will lead the site’s Buyers and Senior Buyers, develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, quality, and service objectives across the supply chain.

You will partner with Global Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to ensure material availability, while balancing cost and risk. The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience with sourcing strategies and supplier performance management.
• Understanding of inventory management and replenishment models, including VMI.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; JD Edwards preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers.
• Develop and execute site-level sourcing strategies to support supply continuity and cost competitiveness.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships as primary site contact.
• Lead supplier selection, pricing, and contract negotiations at site level.
• Monitor supplier performance with scorecards and metrics.
• Develop inventory and replenishment strategies balancing availability and cost.
• Align sourcing with production requirements and capacity plans.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
• Drive cost performance through savings initiatives and TCO improvements.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Global Supply Chain.
